You Only Live Once is one of my favorite songs by the Strokes. The lyrics in the song speak so much about overcoming negativity within a relationship and appreciating the redeeming qualities that drew you to that person to begin with.

There is a lot of different ways to read into the message of a song like this and that's why I believe the music video serves it so well. The video focuses on metaphor rather than explanation, allowing the listener to draw their own conclusions. Classic!
