Nowhere Trailer

My short film follows two pot growers who don’t see eye-to-eye on how to do business. While the old-timer is content with the status quo, his protégé wants to take things to the next level – with dire consequences. You can check out the trailer here.

Traveling With Beck

I had an incredible eleven day journey traveling the East Coast with Beck and his bandmates. We started our bus tour in New York and headed to Montreal Canada. After the second to last show, we came all the way back down for the final performance in Brooklyn, NY.

I had an awesome time filming these guys both on and off the stage. Beck is a true artist that has inspired me in a great way. Observing these artists really taught me a lot about work ethic and collaboration within the music world and how that translates to mine. Stay true to yourself, create beautiful art, and make good friends along the way.

My first bus tour. i got to say, it was a great way to see the East Coast.

Working With Friends

It's always been a dream of mine to work with friends. I feel incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to work with these incredibly talented artists.

Ahhhhhh... Refreshing!!! - Directing Comedy

It's refreshing to step back into what got me into filmmaking in the first place; making people laugh. At the age of 9 I would use my dads DV camcorder to shoot short comedic films.

Believe it or not... since that time I've expanded my portfolio a bit. I've always had a soft spot for comedy and I'm happy to report that I've taken up the task of directing a new comedy web series, Roommates. It has been such a fun process and I look forward to posting episodes in the near future.

Kettle Chips - Experiential Marketing

The team had an awesome time filming an experiential advertisement in Chicago and San Diego for Kettle Chips. The concept was simple, give people the choice to choose which flavor of chips they like best and tally up the total.

The concept is a win-win idea because passerby's get free chips, Kettle creates a brand presence/ awareness, and they get a sense from locals what flavors people are most receptive to.

Shooting Amongst The Clouds

This winter, the team went out to play in the snow with our high-speed camera. We shot an array of awesome snowboarding sequences that will be online shortly.  Below to the left is a location still and a screen grab of the upcoming piece to the right.

Explosions - Short Film

This experimental piece is a well executed example of what one filmmaking team can accomplish in a short format. The atmosphere to a film is crucial and no doubt, this short transports you to unknown territory and it placed me in a trance. Check it out!

On Demand TV Episodes

Over the past year I've had the opportunity to shoot and direct episodes of an online show, Electronic Spotlight. The shows hosts Evan and Noel interview and party alongside world famous DJ's. Today it was announced that the episodes will be shown via Time Warner On Demand. You can check them out on TV so grab your remote!

Music Videos are easy to make.

Music videos are easy to make... right?

I have selected these two awesome videos to compare against one another.  One looks like it cost some serious cash to make while the other looks pretty basic...

...but here's the question... Was the expensive looking Gesaffelstein - Pursuit video harder to make than the Arcade Fire's Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains) remix video? Did they cost the same to create? Watch and decide!

The truth is that there was a lot of planning and money that went into the execution of creating both of these videos. A simple idea like the Arcade Fire music video isn't necessarily as simple as it sounds.

Here's why: The actual Arcade Fire music video is ALSO an interactive art piece!

The interactive dance feature is outrageously cool and worth checking out! You go to the below link and the video interacts with your dancing via your web camera. Its pretty awesome! http://www.sprawl2.com

It is possible that the Gesaffelstein - Pursuit video STILL was more costly to make but I'd bet you that the preparation to create these pieces both took a great deal of time. Time is money!
